How Beast is Actually in the First X-Men Movie

Back in the 90s there were a ton of high quality animated series based on super heroes. There was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-men, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Adventures of Superman, and the masterpiece that was Batman the Animated Series.

I loved all of these series as a kid,  but my favorite was X-men, most likely due to the fact that my older brother loved the X-men and I did everything in my power to be as cool as him.

My favorite character in the show was easily the Beast. There was just something so cool about a guy who was both brilliant and ferociously strong. When the first movie came out in 2000 I was understandably saddened when Beast did not make an appearance.

Of course I had no idea at the time that, in a way the Beast was in the film.

This fine looking chap in the picture above is George Buza, the man who provided the voice for Beast in the X-men animated series. It's a somewhat little-known fact that he had a cameo in the 2000 film.

When Rogue flees her hometown after a make-out session goes terribly wrong (like so many of mine did), she is given a ride by a trucker, who manages to get her to Alberta. That trucker is in fact Mr. Buza.
