DuckTales is Returning to TV With New Episodes

2017 is set to see the return of DuckTales to Disney XD with all new episodes and adventures. The news broke today via an announcement by Marc Buhaj, Senior Vice President of Programming at Disney XD, who said the following:

DuckTales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.

The show will see the return of all the classic characters including Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Launchpad and of course, the Beagle Boys.

If you are dying to get a DuckTales fix, the old series is now available, in its entirety, on the Watch Disney Channel app.

As a self-respecting 90s kid, I find this news very exciting, but I am also a little wary. The original series was such an amazing show; here's hoping the new one can live up to its predecessor's glory.
